U.S. Veteran

Taek Sun Hwang, 71, of Lake Mills, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Fort Health Care in Fort Atkinson.

He was born on April 8, 1941 in South Korea, son of the late Yeh Gun and Cheh Bok (Kang) Hwang.

Taek married Eun Ja Cho on May 24, 1971.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He had been employed as a materials handler at PPG.

Taek was a member of Madison Salong Church and had been a layman minister.

Survivors include his wife, Eun; one son, Gary of Milwaukee; one daughter Herly (Timothy) Karlen of Lake Mills; two grandchildren, Everett and Olivia Karlen; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Claussen Funeral Home with the Rev. Taek Gam officiating.

Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery.

There will be a Korean Prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday evening at the Claussen Funeral Home.

Friends may come to pay their respects after prayer service Friday evening until 8 p.m. and also after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home until the time of service.
