Sylvia Mathilda Roehl

Sylvia M. Roehl, 91, Fort Atkinson, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the Fort Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on May 15, 1921 at Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Martin and Katherine (Nedvecki) Kowalsky.

Sylvia was married to Harold Goudreau who preceded her in death. She later married Gene “Pedro” Roehl of Milford on June 30, 1969. He died on December 2, 1996.

Sylvia moved to Lake Mills in 1961 and later moved to Orlando Florida in 1970. She returned to Wisconsin in 1975 and resided at Lodi. Sylvia retired to Fort Atkinson in the late 1990’s.

Sylvia attended the Promised Land Church in Watertown.

She was an accomplished seamstress, loved to bake and cook and enjoyed attending various bible study groups with her friends.

Survivors include three sons, Gary (Cathy) Goudreau, Glenn (Nancy) Goudreau, Martin (Connie) Goudreau; a step-son, Ken Roehl; five grandchildren, Tara (Drew) Breese, Adrian, Brandon, Nathan and Levi Goudreau; two step-grandchildren, Trisha and Jayde; one brother, Paul Nedvecki; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Also preceding in death was a grandson, Luke Goudreau; a step-son, Kim Roehl; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the Claussen Funeral Home in Lake Mills with Pastor Jeff Steiner officiating.

Burial will be in the Countyline Cemetery in the Town of Dane.

Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
