Ruth F. Zimmerman

Ruth F. Zimmerman, 79, Lake Mills, died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on April 10, 1933 at Downing, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late George W. and Ida (Wold) Brook.

She was a graduate of Boyceville High School, class of 1951.

Ruth married Marvin Charles “Moose” Zimmerman of Lake Mills on March 30, 1957 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. He died on October 23, 2002.

Ruth was a resident of Milford since her marriage and later moved to Lake Mills.

She had been a nurses’ aide at the former Jefferson County Home.

Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Mills.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Kevin (Brenda) Zimmerman, all of Lake Mills; two daughters, Debra Brown of Allen, TX, Connie (Larry) Wollin of Lake Mills; five grandchildren, Dustin Wollin, Callie Wollin, Michele (Michael) Briggs, Brandon Brown, Lexine Zimmerman; six great grandchildren, Hayden, Camden, Jensen, Faith, Peyton, Amanda; one brother, Merlin (Anita) Brook of Connersville, WI; two sisters, Doris (Ray) Sell of Huntsville, AL, Janice Norton of Ridgeland, WI; sisters-in-law, Linda Brook of Newnan, GA, Irene Zimmerman of Fort Atkinson, Mary Ann (Gary) Martinson of Jefferson; one brother-in-law, Donald (Sandra) Zimmerman of Fort Atkinson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Also preceding in death were two brothers, LaVerne and Gerald Brook; two brothers-in-law, George Norton and Earl Zimmerman.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Pastor Mark Dressel officiating.

Burial will be at Aztalan-Milford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of service.

If desired, memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice Care or to the church.
