Olive M. Heinzelman

Olive M. Heinzelman, 98, formerly of Lake Mills, died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Library Square in West Allis.

She was born on May 28, 1914 in Pewaukee, the daughter of the late Kilian and Barbara (Hurtgen) Nettesheim.

She was a 1931 graduate of Waukesha High School and later attended Normal School.

Olive married Anton Heinzelman on June 25, 1938 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Duplainville where she had been baptized. He died on Nov. 23, 1966.

She had been a Milford/Lake Mills resident since 1951, moving here from Pewaukee.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Mills.

Olive had given music lessons, played church organ for over 47 years in Duplaineville and Lake Mills, worked at the church parish, and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul.

She enjoyed making her special recipes for family gatherings, playing various card games (especially bridge) and gardening, with flower gardening as her passion.

Survivors include two sons, Mike of Santa Rosa, CA, Bill of South Milwaukee; three daughters, Marilyn Zabel of Beaver Dam, Ginny (Jim) Beerbohm of Watertown, Arlene (Jerry) Strunk of Fort Atkinson; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Nettesheim of Brookfield; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph, son-in-law, Don Zabel, daughter-in-law, Donna Heinzelman and 14 brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father David Wanish officiating.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church with the Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and also after 10 a.m. on Friday until the time of mass.

Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery.

If desired, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society in Lake Mills.
