Eileen P. Engsberg, 88, Lake Mills, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013, at her home.
She was born on February 7, 1925 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Peter and Eileen (Toth) Petruska.
Eileen married Philip Engsberg of 1948 in Lake Mills.
She was a graduate of the Lake Mills High School, class of 1943 and later graduated from Milwaukee County School of Nursing.
Eileen had been employed at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital, Willowbrook Nursing Home and later as an industrial nurse at the former Crepaco Inc. in Lake Mills.
She was an active member of the Lake Mills Moravian Church, its Women’s Fellowship, Board of Elders, served on the Western District Provincial Women’s Council, served on a mission trip to Honduras and was a Market Day chairperson.
Eileen had volunteered and served on many organizations throughout her life. She had been a founding member of the Lake Mills Dance Club, enjoyed painting, baking cookies, playing bridge and was a wonderful hostess. Eileen enjoyed being involved with her family. She was a kind, generous, grateful, and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
Survivors include her children, Jack (Susan) of Eureka, MO, Peggy (Bruce) Furlin of Lake Mills, David (Terri) of New Berlin; 6 grandchildren, Philip, Samuel, Katie, Daniel, Zachary and Christopher Engsberg; sister, Susan (Charles) Conrad; sister-in-law, Barbara Petruska both of Lake Mills; nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and longtime companion, Arden Piper.
Also preceding in death was a son, Peter and brother Robert Petruska.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Lake Mills Moravian Church with the Rev. Bruce Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in the Rock Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of service.
